I think this is what heaven would look like on the streets of Lawrence, Kansas. A whole community coming together, using what we have, to meet the needs of those around us.
108 people were served lunch at LINK.
Just Food used their Cruising Cupboard mobile pantry to create a personalized shopping experience for 38 guests, plus to-go meals for 40!
The City of Lawrence Homeless Response Team and Bert Nash worked in tandem to help some of the most vulnerable people on our streets.
Washed Ministries provided 31 showers and 12 loads of laundry, alongside a safe space for community to happen!
And we’re so excited about a new partnership that started today: a Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health nurse will be on-site every Tuesday to provide preventative healthcare and access to long-term care community-wide. Today she saw 5 people!
