Why we work this way

Every program does two jobs. It meets a real need for our guests, and it makes Lawrence better for all of us.

Job Empowerment shows it best: guests earn a paycheck cleaning up downtown and the streets around us. We can be the best homeless services agency in the world, but if our neighbors hate us, we have failed.

Emergency Services

Rest, recharge, and get what you need today.

Showers, laundry, meals and snacks, coffee, mail, phones, WiFi, clothing, hygiene items, and a food pantry. See the full list and hours

For our guests

A safe, warm place to be during the day, with the basics covered.

For our community

Fewer people with nowhere to go.One place neighbors know to send someone who needs help.

Next Steps

Once today’s needs are met, we help guests take the next step.
