Free Meals Across Lawrence

One of the things I love most about Lawrence is how many people quietly show up, week after week, to make sure our neighbors have access to a meal and a place to belong.

Nearly every day of the week, churches, nonprofits, volunteers, community groups, and local organizations are serving free meals throughout our community.

This is what community looks like. It is LINK volunteers setting tables and pouring coffee. It is Jubilee Cafe welcoming people in the morning. It is The Jax Project and Terrebonne bringing meals to the Homeless Resource Center. It is the Salvation Army, Sunrise Project, ECM, Food Not Bombs, and so many volunteers giving their time, food, resources, and care.

No single organization does this work alone. Lawrence is stronger because so many people have decided that hunger is something we can respond to together.

Please share these meal schedules. You never know who in your life may need them, or who may know someone who does.

And if you are one of the volunteers, donors, churches, businesses, organizations, or community members helping make any of these meals possible: thank you. You are part of what makes Lawrence such a special community.
